The fountain on the Grand Parade is now part of the pedestrianised part of the street. About time too for cars to be taken out of the city to some extent. Here’s another shot taken on the same day.
This sign is posted outside the Cork City Library on the Grand Parade and I meant to photograph it a few months back when somebody had added the “enjoy” and crossed out “prohibited”. Unfortunately some clown has added their own brand of graffiti to the sign by this time. Actually, that gives clowns a bad name. My apologies.
The weekend before last was quite warm which generally brings the masses to Bishop Lucey Park just off the Grand Parade. This was just an ordinary Saturday afternoon in Cork, let’s hope there’s plenty of warm sunny afternoons this summer!
