Fountain on Grand Parade

Lifelong Learning Festival in Cork

The Lifelong Learning Festival took place last week in Cork. I hadn’t really been into town until yesterday so this was the first I heard of it. It looks like it was quite interesting

The public can try out different skills – from sign language to rowing, capoeira to embroidery…and a whole lot more.

Anybody out there do something new this week?

Hillbilly's

The Hillbilly’s on Grand Parade which is a regular haunt for people coming out of pubs and clubs.  They do a fine garlic breast in a bun.  Hmmm, garlic breast in a bun…

You can also see Bishop Lucey Park in the background, not the Peace Park which I had confused it with a while back.  One thing I hadn’t noticed about them is the Fáilte sign on the door, such a simple thing to do so fair play.
