In keeping with the theme started yesterday of looking at objects through others, here’s one from Cobh that I took back in March.

In keeping with the theme started yesterday of looking at objects through others, here’s one from Cobh that I took back in March.
I like the old Irish script where a dot over the letter denotes a séimhiú or h in the word. This shop in Skibbereen had that but also a plaque commemorating Diarmaid Ó Donnabháin Rossa who founded the Phoenix National and Literary Society.
What’s the deal with putting animal statues on your pillars? There was a spate of them down in Skibbereen, some owls were perched on another set of pillars close to where this was taken. What’s your favourite (read: worst) pillar adornment?
