Cork City Marathon Is Coming Up!

The Cork City Marathon is coming up again soon after an impressive debut last year. Advertising is already up on Brian Boru Bridge and you can also see Michael Collins Bridge in the background.
I partook in that race but only as part of a relay team in a very small section! I hope to do a longer section this year seeing as I’m entered in the Schull Triathlon a week later - this would be a good warm up event.
Currachs Rowing Into Cork City

Two currachs row into Cork on Thursday evening last. It was a fine evening for a row with the first glimpses of the new season showing. And about time too. The rowers of Cork aren’t too happy about a proposed new water bus from Rochestown direction probably because of the wash coming off this disrupting their training. I can see where they are coming from having rowed for a few years quite a while ago.
