			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<a href="http://www.pana-vision.org/2008/05/20/the-living-tradition-is-no-more/" title="The Living Tradition is no more"><img src="http://www.pana-vision.org/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/20080515_9999_5_resized.jpg" width="347" height="500" alt="The Living Tradition is no more" style="float:none;padding:0 0px 0px 0;" ><br clear="all" /></a><p>The Living Tradition on McCurtain Street recently closed its doors for the last time.  This is an awful loss for traditional music enthusiasts in Cork as it had a great collection of tradition music CDs, books and even some instruments.  The shop had moved from another premises on the same street in recent years but obviously they couldn&#8217;t sustain the shop on an ongoing basis.  I&#8217;ll miss the place.  I think I was one of the last to make a purchase there late on a Saturday evening, buying the excellent album by Cork band <a href="http://www.fredtheband.com">Fred</a> <em>Can&#8217;t Stop I&#8217;m Being Timed</em>.</p>
